Adventures & Scenarios

Bandits [Bert Van de Merckt]
This adventure outlines an excellent starting point for a campaign of new to moderatly experienced players. Role playing is encouraged (always a good thing) and enough plots are left for the DM's use to make this a memorable starting point for the PCs. (Dean Wilson)

Bend Sinister [David Roe]
No description yet.

The Black Pyramid of the Ancient Cloakers [R.J.H.A. Broekman]
Anywhere in the world of AD&D; 4-6 8th level characters. Good adventure for experienced characters; challenging and unpredictable. The heroes are sent out on a quest to rescue a mage called Knoedag, who's trapped in an ancient pyramid by some very special monsters... (Very nice Word 6.0/95 conversion by Emanuele Bolognesi)

Bloodbane Keep [Dru Pagliasotti]
Anywhere in the world of AD&D; 4-6 characters levels 7-9. Here's one of the few roleplaying scenarios dealing mostly with strategy. Our heroes must rescue a group of children from a well protected castle. Quite challenging!

The Children of Synzhen [Robert Hall]
It's late spring in the town of Alskava, on the coast of the arctic land of Northron. Alskava is usually a rather dull and boring town, had it not been for the recent gruesome deaths of several of the townsfolk and animals. An excellent adventure for low-level characters, this is professionally designed, has an incredibly well fleshed-out background, and a great story. Originally suggested on an AD&D mailing list, Bob Hall has done a great job of developing this exciting work based on the phenomenon of Spontaneous Human Combustion. Highly recommended!

The Curse [Angelo Bertolli]
Created for the original D&D game, this adventure is also playable with the AD&D gaming system. Suitable for characters of levels 4 to 7, and it comes with a complete set of hand-drawn maps (although of average quality). No further description at this time.

Desolate Futures [Robert Hall]
A scenario for starting a fantasy-horror campaign, it requires a party of about 4-6 characters of zero level and favors fighters and thieves, as wizards and priests are severly handicapped. Although this is a scenario outline, leaving the DM with quite a bit of work to do, it presents an exciting scenario set in a dark, desolate campaign setting. Very creatively written, this is a good base for starting a new campaign, albeit in a strange and post-apocalyptic world. Bob Hall again churns out a new creation, and as always, very good.

Dhowin's Rest [Alan Derek Jones]
The PC's finally find Shep's tomb. However since the burial another burial mound has been built on top that of the evil fighter Dhowin who was also a hunter of the fabled treasure that was kept in the ancient tomb. So avid was he that he even searched for it after death. Shep also sets the PC three tests, one of the spirit, one of the mind and one of the body to see if they are worthy. This update has all the graphics missing from the original release.

The Final Exam [Jeff Vogel]
Anywhere in the world of AD&D; 1st level characters. A good way for players to start playing AD&D. Can either be used as a good introduction to a campaign setting, or just a good way to start an adventure.
ASCII / 4 kb / 04.12.1996

The Hunt for a Charter [Louis Rosas]
A short adventure designed for beginning roleplayers, this little ditty is very humorous, especially to the DM. Caution should be excercised when used on players with low tolerance levels to bureaucratic intricacies.
PDF / 6 kb / 05.04.1999 | Word 97 / 5 kb / 05.04.1999

Kaeliron's Dilemma [Ryan Cooper]
A short adventure for 3-6 PCs of levels 2-4, total about 12 levels. Adaptable to any general fantasy setting, this adventure takes place along a forest trail. A band of adventurers has been attacked by ettercaps, and the PCs have an encounter with the sole survivor of that party. Decisions are then to be made...
HTML / 13 kb / 13.03.2000

The Legend of Princess Allahna [Joe Boehm]
Any FRPG, any world, and practically any level. This is an adventure-seed good for campaign-introductions and the like. Some bandits kidnap a mage's daughter (Allahna) to gain the mage's treasures. However, the bandits meet with one small problem...
ASCII / 2 kb / 04.12.1996

Lost and Found [Daniel Wilson]
This adventure is a relatively easy side-track for low-level characters of no more than 15 total levels. A party needing a bit of a morale boost may appreciate this simple diversion. A thief, and a mage would be useful in this scenario which would fit into almost any FRP campaign with a few simple adjustments. (Mark Ramsey)

Nightstalker of Markesh [John Barlau]
This adventure is a heavy role-playing session. Characters of 3rd to 5th level should be able to complete this module. There have been lots of mysterious murders, and no-one is able to solve the case. Some background work in fleshing out the town of Markesh will be necessary though. (Peter Durgeon)

The Orcs of Galazar [Lasivian T. Dark]
"A band of orcs has been seen roaming the hills, and the village has recently become a frequent target of their raids. One week ago The Jewel of Rapan was stolen from its owner, the leader of the elders..." Suitable for a high-magic, high-slaughter campaign, of levels 2-4. Roman Sixdenier
ASCII / 8 kb / 28.07.1997

Rake's Hold [Dru Pagliasotti]
Adventurers are hired to get a cloak from a weaver and end up in the middle of a demon's stronghold. Splatterfantasy with nightmares attached. Tough fighters are required, and a cleric would be extremely useful. Levels 7-9. Roman Sixdenier
HTML / 18 kb / 04.12.1996

Resurrection [Andreas Hartmann (Aelin)]
"Let's resurrect him..." -- "You fool, it is a Red Great Wyrm!"

Revenge of Doppleganger Band [Marco Picek]

Secret of Saltham Shore [Robert Hall]
This scenario is designed for a party of low-level characters. It requires a balanced mix of investigative and combat skills, and favors heroes who think before acting. Secret of Saltham Shore is designed to be an introduction to a longer running campaign during a period of grave threats to the settled lands. Most of this adventure occurs in the manorial village of Saltham, at the edge of the Duchy of Irolo. But the scenario can easily be adapted to another remote coastal village located near a large bog. 26 pages of a real goodie of an adventure, with random encounter tables, weather effects, an sizeable gallery of non-player characters, and as always, excellent graphics, Bob again does what he knows how to do so well these days: Providing the gaming community with another adventure goodie.
PDF / 259 kb / 06.04.2000 | Word 2000 / 128 kb / 06.04.2000

Seema's Problem [Matt Clury (Shadowhunter)]
A nicely designed adventure for characters levels 3-8, it is set in the Forgotten Realms, but can easily be adapted to another campaign setting. It is short, but well designed. No further description at this time.
HTML / 159 kb / 14.08.1999 | PDF / 102 kb / 14.08.1999 | Word 97 / 171 kb / 14.08.1999

Survival of the Funniest [Andrew Rochester]
Will the characters survive Jalzannel's Final test? Not quite sure, knowing he is a dubious wild mage! Levels 2-4, light-hearted and humorous. Roman Sixdenier
Word 6.0/95 / 28 kb / 20.10.1997

Thieves Guild [Marco Picek]

Word 6.0/95 / 30 kb / 14.05.1997

Tower of Lizards [Dru Pagliasotti]
No description yet.
HTML / 13 kb / 04.12.1996

Tower of Refuge [Alan Derek Jones]
The PCs hear of a tower in a city that accomodates many wizards. The wizard in the party is very interested in finding out what information they may hold. Encounters with lots of fire related creatures including a strange elven character called Rufus who is not all that he seems.
Word 6.0/95 + GIF / 120 kb / 25.08.1997

Vaspar (Real Title Unknown) [Brad Caldwell]
No description yet. The text is ASCII and the map is PostScript.
ASCII + PostScript / 24 kb / 04.12.1996

What's the Reason? [Shaun Hately (Dreadnought)]
A tournament adventure outline, seems to be based on a lot of roleplaying and the nobility of the characters. Level is hard to define but the scenario talks about young characters! Roman Sixdenier
Word 6.0/95 / 79 kb / 28.07.1997

What You Don't See [Galen Ciscell]
A forest in trouble... One of the guardians of the Emerald Forest is (literally) being stalked, and a number of other troublesome entities are encroaching upon the woods. A nice one-session adventure for PCs of levels 4-6 (preferably including a ranger and a female). It has no maps, but is instead based upon events and encounters, thereby making it ideally suited for a forest-type adventure in any campaign.

Winter-Beast Scenario [Joe Boehm]
Several years ago, a wizard and several retainers set off to slay a beast. He returned alone, and wounded, but said that he had found the beast. He vowed to slay it and return with its secret. The mage never returned, but neither did the beast. He is worshipped in the town as a hero. Can the players do better than him? Levels 2-3. Roman Sixdenier
ASCII / 4 kb / 04.12.1996

Wrath of the Fire Beast [Robert Hall]
An underground adventure for 4-6 characters starting at 2nd to 3rd level. The unwitting heroes are called upon to prevent the release of a caged demi-god of fire and lava. It may be helpful for the party to include a dwarf and a wizard, but these are not necessary. At 53 pages, packed with a rich set of non-player characters, player handouts, random encounter tables, new monsters, a bunch of new magic items, as well as very well done graphics/maps, Bob here again gives you a real gem of an adventure. Highly recommended!
