Well, all good things must come to an end sometime, I guess. After contemplating my own situation for some time now, I have decided to close down this website after realizing I am not able to provide you all with the services one might expect from a site like this. This website has come a long way after its initial conception in October 1996, more than four years ago, far longer than I would even dare to imagine even in my wildest dreams. I have had a lot of fun doing this, providing the gaming community with hundreds of excellent works written by talented people all over the world. I have gained a loyal following from the thousands of gamers who have been visiting this site regularly over the years. I have received literally thousands of emails giving feedback, support, suggestions, and above all, loads of submissions to this site. And I am very grateful to all of you, the gamers worldwide, for providing me with the opportunity to do this for all of you. I do regret that I am not able to continue maintaining this site anymore, but all is not lost. Far from it.

On the 31st of December 2000, I became a Staff Member of PlanetADND (www.planetadnd.com). PlanetADND is a huge website dedicated to the xD&D games, run by a few highly dedicated, resourceful, and skilled people, working full-time on the site. It is an excellent site, stuffed not only with the works that one might find at sites as this one, but also with a host of other features and services that I would never have been able to include here. The contents of this site, all the works, netbooks, and my own reviews, will within a matter of weeks be transferred to PlanetADND in their entirety, and this site will eventually go down by the end of 2001, or sooner.

As a Staff Member of PlanetADND, I will continue to do my work for the gaming community in the future as well, without the added burden of maintaining a website of my own. It is an arrangement over which I have pondered for some time now, and found was the only solution that I could accept. That is, still being able to contribute my share to the game and its community, while making sure that all the works will always be freely accessible to anyone.

I would like to give my most heartfelt thanks to Ezra Van Everbroeck for hosting my site at his Great NetBook Archive for the last few years, thereby helping me to reach a much wider audience through the several mirrors of his site. My greatest of thanks also go out to the webmasters of all the mirrors of that site, for their willingness to host my site along with Ezra's. You know who you are.

Also, I would like to thank those of you who have entrusted me with making my site the official distribution point for your works, most importantly Roger D. Mast with his Magnificent Monstrous Database (MMDB).

And last but not least, all of you, the gamers out there, who over the years have provided me with invaluable feedback, hints, tips, submissions, and interesting discussions in order to enable me to give you a better service. Thank you all, it has been really, really fun doing this! And I'm sure we'll meet again at www.planetadnd.com.

• You've all probably noticed that there haven't been any updates lately. At the moment, I'm very busy with other matters, and have little or no time to spare maintaining this archive. Also, since I'm not able to play anymore, my interest in both this archive and the game naturally has declined somewhat. Therefore, as of now, this archive is no longer being updated, until I decide otherwise. I have not made a final decision yet, later on it may happen that I take up this hobby of mine that I've had for five years now. But for the moment, there will be no more updates. But please continue to stop by here every month or so; things may happen, you know. And thank you all for your interest, I really appreciate it. I feel a little sorry about discontinuing this, so I may not do it, after all. But for now, please don't expect any updates in the near future, at least until I've posted otherwise here.
